2024-2025 Undergraduate Viewbook
Dominican Univeristy of California's Website
Two memorable projects that I was able to be apart of while working at Dominican were:
(1) Updating the universities website homepage,
(2) Updating the undergraduate viewbook for both 2023-24 and 2024-25.
1) Updating website's homepage:
• Collaborated on a current website audit with everyone in the marketing team. Discussed biggest pain points, studied heat maps, and drafted up a new strategy and timeline.
• Drafted sketches and drafts of a new site in Figma, reviewed and revised the new draft with the marketing director, and presented our updates to the associate vice president for enrollment management and marketing for final approval.
• Handed off the Figma files to web developed.
• You can see the updated homepage on the universities live website at dominican.edu, or by clicking the url link below.
2) Updating undergraduate viewbooks
• Studying previous viewbook (created by 989 design agency) to use as reference/ guide for the updated version.
• Worked with marketing director to outline pain points of the previous years book, and create a strategy for the new one.
• Updated all images by both capturing photos on my camera, and worked closely with a professional photographer (Jim Block) for new content of the campus and student body.
• After the Marketing director and manager gathered / wrote new copy and statistics for the current year, I compiled all the new images and copy into Adobe InDesign. Then reviewed and revised with our marketing director / team.
• Sent the book to print (PPCIS printing).
• We produced and distributed around 30,000 copies of the 28 page viewbook, using the print piece as a direct mail marketing tool. The viewbook served to both entice recipients to explore the university, and direct leads to set up appointments with admissions counselors. You can view a digital version of this pdf in the link below (or at issuu.com/dominicanuniversityofcalifornia/docs/viewbook).
During my time at Dominican, I collaborated with print vendors (MSI Lithro, PPCIS, Doing Good Works), outside design agencies (989 Design), Photographers (Jim Block), Videographers (Black Lamb Media), and numerous staff and faculty members to create university wide print and digital marketing materials.
