Hello I am a dynamic graphic designer with three years of experience spanning in-house and contract roles. My expertise encompasses UX, print, digital, photography, and advertisement design.

 

Leveraging a strong foundation in marketing, I specialize in effectively communicating brand messages and driving engagement through strategic design solutions. I hold dual bachelor's degrees in Graphic Design and Psychology from Dominican University of California, complemented by a UX bootcamp certificate from UC Berkeley, and a Part 107 drone operating license.

Train Advertisment for Dominican University of California

OVERVIEW

Aspart of the marketing team's initiative to expand our University's branding, I spearheaded the designs of three print advertisements that were displayed on the SMART Train in the Bay Area.

OutCome

Dominican University of California's student population comprises mainly of commuters living all over the Bay Area. As a way to bring more brand recognition, and target the desired commuter population, we wanted to place advertisements on public transportation in the north Bay Area. I created three print ads that funneled users to the university's website, and were installed on the SMART Train for three months. During this time marketing noticed a 22% increase in web traffic, 7% above our KPI goal.  

Process

  1. Stakeholder interview to discuss project scopes and specify KPIs to define a successful campaign.

  2. Met with representatives from the SMART Trains marketing team to define the print specifications.

  3. I conducted competitor analysis of other universities around the Bay Area

  4. Drafted sketches of ad designs

  5. Captured photos on my DSLR camera and drone around campus

  6. A/B Tested photos on ads by surveying students and staff. 

  7. Helped create a landing page on our website that the ads funneled new users too.

OVERVIEW

After the introduction of a new style guide, the university's website failed to mirror their updated branding, coinciding with a noticeable decline in user engagement on the homepage.

 

To tackle this challenge, I:

  • Conducted thorough research through user interviews, usability testing, and studying heat maps to pinpoint the factors contributing to the diminished engagement.

  • Conceptualized a redesigned homepage layout  aimed at enhancing user experience.

  • Facilitated photoshoots to procure fresh content for website updates.

  • Collaborated closely with stakeholders, and presented mockups to solicit feedback and refine the design direction.

  • Actively working alongside a developer and are efficiently implementing the proposed changes currently.

  • Our efforts resulted in a 38% reduction in scrolling, streamlining navigation and enabling quicker access to program and event pages for users, marking a successful outcome.

Designed Undergraduate viewbook for Dominican University of California

OVERVIEW

Aspart of the marketing team's initiative to promote our campus and programs, I led the design and production of our university's viewbook. This 28 page print piece, meticulously crafted to showcase our institution's offerings, served as the centerpiece of our mailing advertising campaign. We distributed 30,000 copies to inquiring students, recent admits, and attendees at college fairs. The viewbook served to entice recipients to explore the opportunities available at the university, and to direct leads to our website.

Package design for
3 Amigos Coffee Co. 

OVERVIEW

3 Amigos Coffee Company situated in Modesto, California sought a packaging solution for their latest assortment of coffee beans. Drawing inspiration from Half Dome in Yosemite Valley, their branding encapsulates the essence of nature. They sought a design tailored to their target demographic—enthusiasts of the outdoors, camping, backpacking, and nature. I incorporated diverse natural elements into the packaging design, seamlessly aligning with the company's branding. Following the completion of the packaging, I crafted a concise product advertisement to use as an advertising funnel to increase traffic on their website, and promote their new product.

North Bay Live Music Redesign

Problem

While North Bay Live Music offers users the largest database of local bands and venues in the northern Bay Area, the website has a hard time holding users attention due to usability issues.

Solution

By Improving the site’s UI and making their most popular task flow more accessible and user friendly, more users will stay on the site and use the service to find more local events, bands, and venues.
